His Imperial Highness, Crown Prince Ivan Vitali Kalashnikov
PERSONALITY Likes • Dislikes • most people, being called by his first name, Lithuanians, bright colors, hot weather, rats, gossip, religion, beaches, hot and sunny weather in general, clingy women Strengths • observant, persuasive, perfectionist, fantastic liar Weaknesses • sadistic, tyrannical, scheming, self-absorbed Fears • losing his sister, imprisonment Habits • zones out in boring conversations Nothing about Ivan is quite right. He's just the right amount of unsettling to make most people avoid him like the plague. Depending on his mood, he can be eerily quiet, listening with a bizarre fascination to every word that slips from your lips and watching with chilling scrutiny every twitch you make. Alternatively, he can be amusingly theatrical and charismatic, able to maintain an interesting conversation for hours. But either way, no matter the facade he puts on, underneath is a cruel, cold, murderous tyrant who wants the complete submission of everyone around him. Whether by charm or by violence, he is quite capable of having anyone wrapped around his finger to the point where they'd die for him. Domination is a game that he plays remarkably well. He's a tyrant in every sense of the word. Everything is done his way, everyone will worship him, everything will happen the way he wants it to with very little deviation. Although sympathy is not part of his vocabulary, he can play that game quite well, too. He can pretend to feel sorry for you, pretend to show "genuine" understanding and compassion when he really could care less. He is a prince of many facades and will wear what ever mask it takes to make himself seem likable to someone he wants to manipulate. But rest assured he is not the kind man he often pretends he is. He may act like one out of boredom or simply by chance. You can have a Good Samaritan one day, devil spawn the next. Perfection is something that's quite important to him. Everything he does must be meticulous, flawless, and go exactly as planned. It's almost to the point of being obsessive. Everything must go his way. If anyone stands in the way of what he wants, they will be eradicated by his own hand and it will be done gruesomely. Not surprisingly, he's very possessive whether it's people or items. And he doesn't share. He's selfish, greedy, and believes that he's entitled to everything he lays his eyes on. He's extraordinarily arrogant. He believes in no higher power than his own. Gods, kings, emperors, clergymen, and even humanity's strict moral code are beneath him. He believes he is somehow above all of that. It's not to say he doesn't have a wide range of emotions other than hatred, because he does. He can hate, and he can love, but all of his emotions are displayed in manic, crawling, bizarre, and twisted ways that only someone as warped as himself could deal with. He breathes dysfunction and walks with chaos in every step; he is a very beautifully disguised nightmare. APPEARANCE Ivan is almost ethereal in appearance. He has striking blue eyes that have silvery lightning bolt-like patterns weaving through the entirety of the iris. His hair is midnight black; so black it almost appears blue in some lighting. It's always styled to a standard of perfection that's almost a little unsettling. He's a monstrous young man, standing at 6'3 with toned muscle. He only dresses in black and gold, no other color. Ever. He is usually seen in long, dramatic coats, fancy black military jackets bedecked in gold pendants and all manner of gems and precious metals, topped off with a gold and ruby crown that sits regally atop his head, amongst a mess of black velvet hair. HISTORY From the moment Ivan was born, he was someone of importance and was certainly raised to believe that. The fact that his father was the Tsar of Russia was special enough, but the fact that he was the favored son of the noble House of Rurikovich certainly didn't help with his ego. Despite the fact that he had two older brothers, he was to be the heir to the throne due to his father's favoritism. When he was only 5 years old, he was crowned Grand Duke of Moscow and Grand Prince of Vladimir. This earned him the resentment of his brothers. Growing up, he was completely spoiled. He got everything he wanted and threw a tantrum when he didn't. His ego was the size of Russia itself and his rank and status as "beloved Rurik prince" didn't help matters. He never had a good relationship with his brothers. They were always resentful and cold but he was never bothered by it. He saw himself as a god compared to them. Ever since he was about 8 years old, he had a very prominent sadistic streak. He would frequently threaten to have his servants executed if they denied his requests or even looked at him the wrong way. It quickly got to the point where he'd order them to be executed just for the thrill of seeing them hung or beheaded. Even as a child, he was callous and uncaring, finding nothing but delight in the suffering of others. Ivan didn't find out until he was 12 that he had a sister. She was 7 years old at the time and her name was Tatyana. Due to some rather scandalous circumstances, Tatyana ended up being raised separately from her brother until she was 7, after which she was sent to live with her biological father. That was when she and Ivan were finally able to meet. Needless to say, Ivan quickly became possessive over the pretty little thing, seeing her as a porcelain doll to be treasured and protected. As the years passed, his possessive nature became stronger and he got to the point where he became jealous of the affection she showed to her summer boyfriends. And many times, her summer boyfriends would not last the whole summer because he murdered them. Ivan was sent to Italy by orders of his father for a variety of reasons. Of course, he wasn't happy about it because he never asked to go, he was forced to. He questioned his father's orders incessantly and even threw his share of temper tantrums. He was told it was so he could better get to know the inner workings of foreign politics before he takes the throne. The real reason is that the Tsar was simply tired of his murderous tyrant of a son and wanted a break for a while(despite the fact that he was the favorite). But of course, Ivan insisted on dragging his sister along with him. |
