She speaks to no one and seems to be quite content with being on her own. People often wonder about this mysterious beauty, and that is the way she prefers it. Alli is very secretive and likes to keep her problems, concerns, and other things to herself. Sharing with others is something she is not used to, but it's only because she's been alone for such a long time. What lies behind that quiet persona is a girl who enjoys the beauty life has to offer. She is a girl that appreciates art in its most natural form. She is creative in the way in which she expresses herself. Her dances are hypnotic and seemingly carefree, but they have an underlying meaning with each twirl, kick, and shake. Some say the way she speaks is through her moves. She is also very intelligent and picks up on the most subtle of hints. What may be dismissed by the casual eye will be picked up by her very trained eye. Her sleuthing skills come to play and she is able solve the current problem at a faster rate than most. She speaks little for many reasons, one reason is to learn more as she talks less, something she believes everyone should learn as well. Aliya can be mistaken as a cold person, but that could not be further from the truth. When someone does approach her, she is kind to them as if they are her friend. No, she will not reveal her personal thoughts or feelings, but she will lend an ear when needed or speak when someone needs cheering up. She cares about others even if she keeps her personal matters to herself. She empathizes with their situation and tries to help them in any way she can. APPEARANCE Aliya's defining feature are her eyes. They are a brilliant shade of green that can shift to blue and sometimes hazel depending on the lighting. Her dark hair that falls down to the middle of her back and her pale complexion gives her an exotic appearance, even among her Jewish people. She stands at about five feet and two inches, which hardly gives off the threatening vibe. Her weight of only one hundred and twenty pounds adds onto the 'delicate and doll-like' character. However, what she lacks in size and strength she makes up for in speed and agility. She is quite lithe and fast on her feet and when she fights with her enemies, it is almost as if she's dancing the way her body moves as she strikes. This has given her a slightly toned body. The clothing Aliya prefers to wear are usually ones that are liberating and free. When not in her assassin attire, she wears a simple dress with a head wrap covering her hair. However, when she is dancing she wears lighter and more colorful outfits that show off her midriff. HISTORY "I admit that I don't remember most of my childhood, which is quite sad because it was the better part of my life. I know the basics, most of which Bazak has told me when I was old enough. I am a child of David, the great king of Israel back in biblical era. My father could trace his lineage back to the great patriarch and leader, which makes us nobles in that sort of sense. "Because of that title, people respected us. We were a reminder of what the great nation of Israel used to be. Strong, wise, and connected to the Almighty in a special sense, but wars, captivities, and relocation removed our nation from its prime. We somehow gave our people hope, a slim chance of our nation rising up once again and seating ourselves next to the Most High. We didn't know about the whispers of revolution made by our people until it was too late. "My father was a meek, yet well-respected man. He was comfortable with his title and tried to maintain peace as best as he could. He had no official title given to him, but his wisdom and his patience demanded others to listen, like the true kin of David. He was a great man and we were the great man's children. "I was given the name Aliya Dania, after my mother who was Dania Aliya. I was the last born since I was responsible for taking her life. I am still bitter against myself until this day, and it makes sense that I am in the line of work that I am now: my first kill was my own mother. I could not say I was a good child from then on. I was quite naughty and my older brother was my partner-in-crime. We would pull pranks on our nurses, maids, and other servants and our father would scold us. I do remember some of the jokes we pulled, and sadly that is the only memory of my brother before my life was shattered before my eyes. "The rumors of a revolution crept into the wrong ears and death was the result. My uncle, cousin, and father were murdered by the hands of the Templars. One by one the Shafirs were being knocked down until it was time for the youngest to be disposed of. We tried to flee the city but we were cut off by the Templars. Our guards tried to defend us and my brother and I were separated during the fight. I was taken by one and he the other. That was the last time I saw him and the first time I knew Fate could be so cruel. I was only eight years of age. "I was taken in by my father's close friend, Bazak. He told me of the group responsible for my family's murder and gave me the option to look the other way or do something about it. Angry and young, I wanted justice and accepted his offer of becoming a part of the Brotherhood. I was taught how to defend myself, how to use weaponry, how to deflect, race against time, pressure points on the body, and most importantly, how to use my mind when strength fails. I was training to be a part of something great, and now that I'm eighteen I am ready to face Fate once again. "My family will be avenged." |
