I'll keep this as painless as possible, I promise. These rules won't take up too much of your time. :)
oo1. Use common sense - This translates to no godmodding, powerplaying, mary-sues, bigotry, flaming, bashing, general un-ladylike/un-gentlemanlike behavior, and PG-13 posts only. This is a thing on most - if not, all - sites so I won't go too in-depth here. As the song by the Rolling Stones says "If you meet me have some courtesy, have some sympathy and some taste. Use all your well-learned politesse or I'll lay your soul to waste". Basically, this means use the etiquette that you've learned and abide by all the basic rules you've read over 9000 times. We should all know by now that none of that stuff is okay. Don't be shady, be a lady - or gent. Whatever.
oo2. Word count - Well...we don't have one here! Yup, that's right. No word count. Post as little or as much as you like. However, if someone gives you a 1000 word post, don't give them a dinky little 200 word post because that's a little rude. Try to match or come close to what they gave you.
oo3. Remember, this is an AU RP! - None of the main assassins existed, basically. No Ezio, Altair, Edward, Connor, or Desmond. Not too complex, right? So you don't need to play Assassin's Creed to enjoy the site! And because this is AU, not everything has to be historically accurate or entirely adherent to the game - and things like the clothing have a modern twist(but is still inspired by historical clothing so no short skirts, denim, and daisy dukes, please). So for those of you who like to describe your character's outfit or make those pretty Polyvore sets, don't worry about being historically accurate. Same with when you write out your character's appearance in the app. Tattoos, piercings, and historically inspired high fashion gowns(like this) are all a-okay!
oo4. One character per account - Yeah, we're one of those. One character per account. For a new character, make a new account. Don't worry about registering with all caps or all lowercase. Our coding fixes it up automatically. It is preferred if you use your characters first and last name as your display name.
oo5. Keep ratios even - This goes for genders and groups. If you see that there's 15 guys and 18 girls, just make a guy! I know that ratio isn't terribly off so you might just think "oh, what's one more girl going to hurt?". Well, the thing is, if everyone thinks like that, next thing you know we still have 15 guys and 30 girls. I'm not saying you can't make a girl but if you can, try to help out our ratios so we don't have to put a big ugly ban in place.
oo6. Factions - Playing a Courtesan, Mercenary, Thief, or Romani and being apart of one of those member groups entails being apart of their respective guilds. However, if you want one that is not apart of a guild, they would just be an independent entity(apart of the "neutrals" member group) and you would put their occupation in the provided field of your mini profile. Alternatively, if you want a Templar-supporting Mercenary, for example, they would be put in the Templar member group and you would put "Mercenary" as their occupation in your mini profile.
oo7. Activity - Please try to log into all of your accounts every day. If we see that your account hasn't been logged into in over a month, it will be deleted without warning.
oo8. Welcome new members - The last thing we want is for this site turn clique-y and for the same group of people to only RP within a small circle of friends. This happens on a lot of sites and turns people away. Make an effort to plot with new members and reply to open threads.
oo9. Graphics - Avatars are 230x400 px, the small image in your mini profile is 100x100. Signatures should be no wider than 500px, and please center them, otherwise the coding will get wonky and I'm not sure how to fix it.
o10. Have fun! - That's it for the rules. Wasn't too bad, was it? Please feel free to ask questions and make suggestions!
